I would like to lower my ACR a little less then an 1". Is there a special tool, or can any shop do it. How do you approach this job. I am planning to do my brakes this week so, while on the lift thought I would lower the car. The car will need an alignment to right??

You will need a spanner wrench to loosen the lower perches. You might try starting with 4 turns down on each perch, jounce the car and measure from the rack to the round frame holes at each axle C.L. Somewhere about 4.25-4.375" front, 4.625-4.75" rear should be your target. As you lower the car, the negative camber will increase and your static toe angle will change. Caster shouldn't change at all if you leave the cams alone.

Yes, the alignment will need to be redone after you lower the car. OTOH, you could just have the suspension shop do the whole thing for you

I have lowered Vettes and Camaros myself. I would like to learn this car as well. But, I will set the alignment up the day after I lower.
