how to remove rear clear/back up lenses

Working on the car today and decided to pull all rear lights to get them blacked out. I got all of them out besides the rear back up lenses which look to be held in place by these metal fasteners. Is there a way to remove these properly without removing the rear bumper?

If a rear bumper removal is necessary could someone please post a DIY link.
