Seriously, I have the same question. Mine are full polish and I want to keep them as shiny as I can. Just wiping them with a cloth would seem to cause abrasions from the brake dust and other dirt. Who knows the answer?

I have the 540's and they are a pain to polish. Get a good
wheel cleaner at your local Pep Boys, spray on and wash off with water. This gets rid of the brake dust. Dry the wheel thouroughly to eliminate water spots. Then you can use
flitz, semichrome polish, mothers etc. I have tried most all of the aluminum polishes on the market and they all seem to wotk fine. The best thing that I ever did is purchase the EBC green pads to eliminate the excessive brake dust problem.

LOL:

Seriously, I've found that Mothers Chrome Polish works great! That's what I use.
