06:00 The main oil depot for our region blew up (one of the biggest in the UK)......
Its about 15 mins away from where i live..
The M1 (main motorway) is closed north bound and south bound for 6 exits...

Spoke to my mom this afternoon. She lives in north west London (near Bushey Heath). She said you have to queue for petrol right now.

no news, the fire bridgade have over 100 engines trying to stop the rest of the 100 acre plant/fuel depots from going up

the initialexplosion must of been massive surrounding houses have taken lots of damage, a 38 tonne truck got lifted off the ground

WOW a few weeks ago Baz and I where sitting in traffic on the M1 right across from that plant!!

Yep we were there only a few weeks ago and now can't get anywhere near it..

Thought as most of the vipers are tucked away for the winter it wouldnt hurt...

Fire fighters have now pulled out because another container is about to explode..
Had to go past there today and all i can say is the pics have nothing on what it looks like..
Some of Hemel Hempstead has no phones or TV but we are not aloud anywhere near it..
Our local trasmission building backs onto the plant..
