I met MichealP yesterday at a ******* and what a trip! Very nice guy. Although the generation gap from 60 to 30 was a tough hurdle and the overweight issue and mullet wasn't easy either..
We sit at the table b.s'ing. You know, the usual stuff guys talk about like "I just got my nails colored" or "what color underwear to you wear" , "How do you get your bikini line so shaved"., etc..
I asked how he came about getting his viper. Micheal said about 1 1/2 years he was driving up U.S. 19 and there was this mean looking black GenI RT/10 with a wing on the back that was cruising just car lengths ahead of him. Then this Crotch Rocket came up beside the Viper and revved and challenged. The Viper downshifted and left the motorcycle in the dust with the driver shaking his head wondering what just happened. MichealP caught up and gave the viper the thumbs and ever since then he said he was going to get a viper..
That guy was ME! Unreal. I remember that day like it was yesterday. I was going somewhere in my newly transformed GenI DLM supercharged Viper.. Same stretch of road, same motorcycle, etc. I got the shivvers down the back when he was telling the story, and I had to tell him it was me even before his story was over I was so amazed.
So, drive your vipers, and you never know when you spark someones dreams to reality....
