I just trailered my GTS out of state. I started at 5am on Saturday and pulled back into town at 4am on Sunday. I went 1390 miles in 23 hours, and I stopped 6 times for gas and 45 minutes for dinner, plus about 45 minutes at the shop. I used my Lexus LX470 to pull the car and I was flat out amazed how well that thing did. My old navigator didn't even come close to the way the less powerful Lexus performed. Well I need to go to bed. Goodnight.

Who was the lucky guy that got the car? IMHO, you had one of the best looking Viper on the forum. Man, I would have loved to bought the rims from you :(

I know you hated to sell that one. I know it will make someone pretty happy.

Guys, guys, guys. I'm sorry I wasn't more clear. I did not sell the car. I just sent it off for a while. I guess my brain wasn't operating correctly.

That is a SWEET looking Viper indeed :) What size wheels on your LX? They look like ~22's?

I am not surprised your LX pulled better than your Navigator. Toyota/Lexus tends to underrate their car's and truck's HP. I know my Tundra (same engine as LX470) tows my Supra (3500+ pounds) and open trailer (~1300 pounds) like a champ. It's no Powerstroke, Cummins or Duramax but it does very well.

Jerry,
Spoken like a true smart ass. Sure I could have driven it, but my LX470 is more comfy, and it has navigation and a DVD player. Plus when you are rolling on $12,000 worth of wheels and tires you tend to be cautious about driving on unfamiliar roads, but thanks for the thought!

I guess I could have driven it up and flew back but then I wouldn't have given you anything to be obnoxious about.

Supra,
They are 2 piece 22's. :2tu:

  This has to be a first....Never knew a Viper could fit that big a rim...It looks incredible....Ride has to be bumpy as hell with those rubberband tires...Any large pics of it at all angles

Snake,
Supra was asking about the wheels on the Lexus.

The viper is sitting on 20" HRE847's.

I get called an abnoxiuos smart ass for stating the obvious.
A rich guy should only drive a comfy LX470.
A Viper is just piece of high-end furniture.

What that was obvious did you state? That I should risk damaging my GTS on the highway just so I could say I drove the car.

"I get called an abnoxiuos smart ass for stating the obvious."

NO not really. You see if I wanted to type like an idiot I would have called you "abnoxiuos", but you see what I called you obnoxious because that is what you clearly are.

Now go have some Canadian Bacon with your "abnoxiuos" and ****!!! Oh and by the way GTF off of my thread!!
