Well... its home and in my garage. :D :D :D

I took some pics last night with my sleepy 3 year old son on my shoulder so the quality is not 1st class but I just wanted to show everybody my classic ride.

The car is very clean and runs very well. I will enjoy giving the car a top to bottom detail and enjoy driving it when the weather improves.

I want to personally thank Bruce Venable of Vipermania for finding such a great car and all the education as well. If anybody is looking for an honest broker (or Viper tops) please give him a call. 513-931-7678

I also want to thank all the people here who have helped me and "hats off" to the VCA and this site for being a wonderful resource.

A Viper is truly a race car for the street!

Congratulations! Yep, the first night in the garage. I remember just sitting there in my little garage with a single malt a looking at the car for a very long time. Best wishes on your new ride.

I gotta say,

If I ever got to the point that another Viper was needed next to my silver RT, a 96/97 blue/white would have to be it. They truly are exactly what a GTS needs to look like, good choice Toby. And congrats!!

Shot #5 in the driver's window shows the lines of a GTS nicely, never to be duplicated that's for sure.

under 2000 of them Toby (Blue/White), keep her between the rails!!

Sure we will see each other this summer, your not that far off.

Hmm,

I didnt notice that, you are right the front and the hood do not match. Maybe just the difference in material used? Front is poly and hood is fiber, is it possible?

GREAT looking car, Toby. Thats the color I fell in love with. Couldn't afford one all the way until 2001, when saphire came out, which I also love a lot. But that 96/97 blue is the first color that grabbed my attention like no other car I have ever seen in my life. The Viper sure is different, huh? In a good way...

Congrats Toby, I was begining to wonder if you were just pulling our proverbial legs about buying one. I have already learned the hard way -

1st Mod = Valintine One....

Thank you everybody! I am in the process of detailing the car and I can't wait to get it on the road.

About the paint..I saw the color difference too in the pics but in real life you can't see any color variations.

The car has been looked over by 2 people who eat and breath Vipers and they said the car has never been painted. The 1st and only previous owner also verified that the car has never been re-painted.

The car has a muffler delete pipes (the stock unit came with it as well), smooth tubes and filters. It also came with a very nice Viper car cover with a sneaky pete logo on the front. Everything else is stock including the original tires that still have 50% of the tread.

Toby- Original Tires are now 7 years old. Old tires get hard and loose traction. Be carefull, if you can spin the tires without leaving rubber (marks), it may be time for a new set of tires. With so much torque the back tires will float when they break loose.
