Everyone,
Thanks for the help in locating my dream. I just so happen to be the new owner of one unbelievably fabulous piece of rolling art as of 7:34 pm, February 1, 2002. I dont know what to say except that I felt almost sick that I got such a sweet deal from the previous owner. I got everything for 63K. I am still beside myself. Wow. I cant wait to learn how to drive it, and start seeing some of ya'll in person! Can you tell I'm a little excited? Well, here is the low-down on my dream-come-true:

2000 Black ACR (3,900 miles) - prepped by Archer Racing
* Borla Headers and Exhaust
* Archer modified cpu
* Archer tuned suspension
* Archer oil pan
* 3:54 gears
* Stop Tech Big Brake kit - (un-fricken-believable!!!)
* Steel braided lines
* B&M shifter w/Carbon fiber knob
* Fan override
* Halon Fire Extinguisher
* Extra set of BBS rims with Hoosiers!!!!!
* All stock original equipment in boxes (including gears).

WOW! Great car and a great price! Congratulations on your purchase. Make sure you use EXTREME caution in learning to drive your new beast. The Viper is quick to strike if you are not careful. The best advice I ever got as a new owner was this: Until you have taken some driving schools, save the "go" pedal for the straights. Goose it on a turn and you will find yourself breaking loose faster than you can imagine. "If the wheels aren't straight, HESITATE!"

Again, congrats on the awesome ride at a super price. Hope to see you at the Viper Owners Invitational in Nashville this September. Be sure to join the VCA ASAP!

Congrats!!!

The first few days of driving were the most amazing for me too. I had to wait 6 weeks after I purchased mine before I got to drive it... After I started up that engine and drove it around, I was glowing and besides myself too. (I bought my car wrecked, and had to do quite a bit of work before it was drivable.)

Your car, and deal sounds amazing!!!

Happy motoring!

SlaughterJ,

House is in Raleigh, so the car will stay here. I work in Norfolk
M-F and stay in corporate housing w/o a garage, so it wont go up there...

Would love to meet any weekend! (I'm off HWY 55 and Highhouse in Cary)

Thanks for the advice, I have been exercising caution in the twisties. I have to say I really want to turn her in hard because this car is eons ahead of my just-sold 98 vette. I cant believe how much more it handles (and of course accelerates). No ABS will probably take a little getting used to and the pedal positioning, but I really dont give a **** for all the upside.

The way this thing sticks I will have to take all your advice to not push it in the corners. As much as I want to, I dont want to end up with "concrete tatoos" before someone shows me how to really drive.

Randy Cade, If your out there, I tried to call you this weekend.
(Guy with the vette you talked to while you were mounting the hoosiers on your genI rims)...

So are you mostly in VA or Raleigh? You'll have to get together with us down here in the Triangle sometime.

I'm in South Durham, near Exit 276 off I40. As Mark noted the club is looking to do a dyno days soon. I had spoken with Janni, our club prez about it recently, and she's probably working on scheduling it (I know the corvette guys have the day soon at the local place, True Blue Performance, and others may have booked it as well). I'm hoping the scheduling works out for me to go to dyno days (and Mark would come down from NoVa for it), but I'm heading out to Mardi Gras, then a cruise, then my stepbrother's wedding the next 3 weekends in a row... I'll drop you an email after that and we can hook up.
