While I'm clearly not qualified to speak FOR Doug, I will opine that your existing modifications should certainly improve the output of any supercharger system Doug might install. The tubes & filters obviously will come off the car, but the other parts help the engine breath and will work in synergy with forced induction.

That said, I think the "usual" DLM stage I (is there such a thing??) doesn't touch the lifters or exhaust -- his last effort with 638 RWHP was on stock exhaust, stock cats, etc. So I don't know if what you've installed would change his cost / time to install.

Hello Jorge -

Congrats on your new ride!

Although the modifications you already have are not necessary to make horsepower with our Level I, they certainly will help your performance.
The stock Viper rocker arms are a stamped piece of steel to change the up/down movement into valve opening and closing. The ratio between the pushrod movement and the amount of valve opening is 1.6:1. Hence, if the pushrod were to move one inch the valve stem would move 1.6 inches. T&Ds (roller rockers) use needle bearings to reduce friction, and tip rollers to eliminate valve guide side loading. These expensive forgings make accurate ratios and thus more accurate valve timing. The available ratio from utilizing the T&Ds are 1.6:1 or 1.7:1. The difference between 1.6 and 1.7 is .032" more lift. And BTW. shaft rockers are far superior to stud mounted rocker arms, they provide better rocker arm geometry and make for a more rigid valve train.

On a forced induction application, a better exhaust flow works well with our Supercharger System. It's easy to get air in with the Supercharger but not as easy to get it out, so a better flowing exhaust system helps move the air out better. Often people call and ask what mods we require first to do a Level I Supercharger System to make good, safe, reliable horsepower? My answer: None! If it's your goal to make power and performance by means of Supercharging, I recommend you Supercharge your engine first. You'll be happy with the performance and street ability without the additional time & costs of other modifications.

PS. If all else fails, tell your wife it was on sale!

Best Regards,
Doug Levin
