I just uploaded to " My Pictures' all photos from a cd by the photo lab of my new interior and exterior mods that I have done on my car and want to share it with everyone, but the file saizes are greater thatn 200K. Is there a way to compress or downsize file so I can upload to my gallery?

Do a "save as" in your favorite photo program, choose ".jpg" as the format and somewhere you should see an "options" box. In there increase the compression level to shrink file size. You can also shrink the "image" size to save bytes.

Most photo editing programs will allow you to:

a. Resize to 640 x 480 (This is a nice footprint for posts)
b. Go to the "Save As", typically it will allow you to save at minimum size.

Both my Adobe and Microsoft Photo editor allow this. The terminology is a bit different, but, results are the same.

Doing both, then saving JPG format should get you under 100k. When I shoot for a post I set the camera to low resolution knowing our server limitations. When you shoot for photo quality, set the camera appropriately.
