Inner tie rod ends need replacing

Anybody ever replaced these? Dodge parts books don't list them separately - looks like the rack gets replaced ($591)

And of course, I have a tri-state AX event this weekend so I'd love to find out that it's the same as a Dakota inner tie rod and fix it before Sunday.

Tom, this would be uncommon, but not unheard of. Did someone check the P/S rack where it mounts to the frame by chance?

Not specifically, but I will tonight. This is a '94 Gen 1, so presumably not a frame recall candidate. With 53K miles, it just might be normal wear. I noticed it changing tires yesterday and the loose clunk seemed to be inside the boot. Thanks.

She definitely wouldn't be under the frame campaign, although I have heard of tracked RT's breaking loose at the frame where the rack attaches. If you AX the car quite a bit, then quite possibly the inners could have enough wear to cause the problem you stated.
