if you have green pads and still have dust this might answer your question.
STEP ONE - CLEAN OR RESURFACE ROTOR BEFORE REPLACING FACTORY WITH GREEN PADS
STEP TWO - GRIND LEADING SURFACE OF GREEN PAD AT 45 DEGREE ANGLE AS TO CHANNEL
DUST AWAY AND SO IT DOES NOT BUILD UP IN FRONT OF PAD
STEP THREE - COAT THE BACK OF NEW GREEN PADS WITH A THIN RUBBER MATERIAL SO YOU
DONT HAVE METAL TO METAL (IMPORTANT - USE A SPRAY TO DO THIS, NOT
A BRUSH)
IF YOU FOLLOW THE ABOVE 3 EASY STEPS I THINK YOU WILL FIND THE GREEN PADS TO BE
VERY EFFECTIVE LEAVING - LESS DUST, LITTLE TO NO SQUEALING.
AS FAR AS LESS BRAKING POWER - ONLY TIME IT WOULD BE NOTICEABLE IF AT ALL WOULD
BE TRACKING THE CAR. FOR THOSE WHO TRACK THEIR CARS I THINK COULD GIVE A RATS
ARSS ABOUT BRAKE DUST AND SOME SQUEALING WHEN APPLYING PRESSURE. IMHO
