Going to be adding an O2 to the TNT headers for my car. Is there a preffered location on the header collector, such as the exact opposite side of the collector in which the regular O2 goes? Didn't know if it mattered or not, but thought I would check before I start drilling and welding.

Thanks all

Marty,

Most of the time they are pointing in towards the car and just up from horizontal in the collector.

I don't quite follow? The factory O2 sits vertically below the aluminum plate. My WB, and many others I know of, is located in that same general area, roughly 90 degress away, and pointed towards the back of the car...just above horizontal.

There are some advantageous of locating them further back. The mixture is more consistent. In addition, most interprtive algorithms show greater error when the sensor is run at higher temperature. You still want to put it before the cat.

If you have no cats, most exhausts have a short transition pipes near the factory rear O2's. It is easy to pull that pipe and weld on the bench. Another tip, do not put the plug in the **** when you weld it. I recently tried that and I could not get the plug out.
