Insurance costs - Whats the best deal?

Just insured my new Viper SRT/10 and have the following rates. Wonder what others are paying and what the average might be?

$2950.00 per year for liability and collision
$500 deductible on liability
$1000 deductible on collision
$100,000 bodily injury coverage per incident

I have gotten quote from statefarm 1700/year with following:
$500 deductible on liability
$500 deductible on collision
$500,000 bodily injury coverage per incident

I am 33 with no fines and no accidents and one other car with statefarm. House insurance with balboa

I'm paying $1300 for the standard $300K/500K, $500 deductable - 37 years old no tickets (yet) Mutual of Omaha.

Just an update - found insurance at $1300 a year. Thanks again to all the responds, I used them as leverage and it worked.

Is State Farm writing new policies again? I had my 99 RT-10 with them, sold it and went Viperless for 6 months and when I tried to get a policy for my 02 GTS they said no.

As of end of Jan 03, State Farm is still writing coverage. Got it for my SRT. Runs $1190/yr.
