Is a short throw shifter good for 2/10s in the Quarter??

My buddy says the short throws can shave a couple of tenths off in the 1/4..is that possible? My guess is that if you row through the gears quicker it could make a difference, but I would not put money on it...AL...

I have heard the same thing (2 tenths)

I actually bought a B&M short throw shifter and im having it installed on may 9th (at Chucks) so afterwords I'll see if I notice a good improvement.

HAHAHA!!! Hell no! I guess maybe if you absolutely **** at shifting, and you miss gears often, it might net you a couple of tenths, but if you're a decent driver it sure won't!
