Is my car haunted?

When I'm working in my car, every few minutes I hear a popping noise from what sounds like both of the doors. It sounds exactly like what power door locks sound like when you lock or unlock them. I dont have power door locks or windows, and have had both door panels off in the past, so I know its nothing aftermarket in the panels. Any clue what it may be?

Are you disconnecting/reconnecting the battery when you hear this noise? If so, it's likely your yellow wheels are the problem.

Nope, not messing with the battery at all. I wonder if I have a midget living in my trunk and when he hears me in the car he's trying to get my attention to let him out??? I'll check my wheels when I get home and make sure they're still yellow

mine does that too, only when the doors are open

its a clicking sound, sounds like a solenoid activating

I agree it has something to do with the doors open, so I've always thought it was part of the alarm. Listen near the driver's right knee...

Same popping noise here. But with the doors open or closed. Happens 2-3 minutes after last opening/shutting of the doors.

I believe that is the relay that shuts the "dome" light off after several minutes with the doors open. You'll notice the light comes on when doors are open, but eventually shuts off. I noticed that on my '95. I also heard lots of clicking when the battery was on it's last leg.......30 minutes before needing replaced.
