Was having fun today and then I heard a very strange wine coming from the engine. Stopped too take a look and there was power steering fluid all over the passenger side wheel and door. It looks like it blew just below the fan?. Is this covered under the 7/70?:(

Thanks Shawn

Well that ***** because I just pulled the fan out. It had some lose ball bearings in the front and it was leaking power steering fluid. I'm going too bring it into Dodge tomorrow and see if they will replace it under warranty if not I will just buy a new one. I love working on the Viper:drive:.

Which 7/70 did you get? If you got the Max Care, it should be covered.

He mentioned the 7/70 powertrain warranty (factory warranty). If he had the Max Care extended warranty (covers everything), he probably wouldn't have asked the question.

When you say "he mentioned", which "he" are you referring to? I read through the original poster's posts, and he never mentioned anything but "7/70". Someone else said that the "7/70 powertrain" wouldn't cover it, but it wasn't at all clear that the original poster has that warranty. The 7/70 comes in various flavors... If the OP had said that he only had the powertrain warranty, I probably wouldn't bother wasting the time to type.

Re: Is power steering covered under 7/70

Yes I do have the factory 7/70 it a 04. And it looks like it is the high pressure line that connects to the fan. is this line a problem for the Viper? I'm now going to replace both as the one that connects to the power steering pump looks like it too might have a leak. now if I could only figure out how to release it (quick connect).:omg:
