Sorry, don't like the new Viper at all... Looks to much like all the other cars.. Don't like the hood, the lines, the rear. SO glad I have my 2000 RT.

Other cars were nice, best was the Ford GT-40.

If anyone is interested, they had loads of the Hot Wheels Die Cast 1:18 GTS R. Got one for myself @ $30. Also had some race Vipers, but couldn't buy everything.

I agree, I was at the Jacob Javits car show yesterday and did not like the 03 viper. I did not like the pictures of the 03 viper ,so I thought in person it might tell a different story but it didnt. I think the car lost its exotic "pancake" look. Too "c-5ish" looking for me! GT-40 looked awesome ,thats were I would put my 100,000$ plus dollars.

I agree. I went last year and they had the New Viper on a turntable, so one could not really get that close. It really did not make an impression.

This year, they had the car in the open where one could go right up to it and touch it. Funny thing, there was not a big crowd.
I looked at it from every angle and it's nice, but nothing like the older version.

I don't remember if in the past years they had the older version of the Viper out in the open. I would imagine people would have been all over it.

The gt40 was roped off, and it was very nice. Best car of the show for me was the saleen 7?, followed by the murcielago.

I'm anxious to se what the New viper coupe will look like in street trim.

Yes, there was no people by the SRT. Mustang Mach1 had more people and BMW M3 had a line of people. The GT40 looked great! They said that it was 500HP and 3200LBS with 0-60 in 3.8 sec. If it is made under 100K then I'll get it but by that time the Viper will have 700HP

I also liked the new Range Rover.

Agreed.. I finally got down to Jacob Javits on Friday and was NOT impressed.. the car looks so plastic. The paint had no depth, all the badges were red plastic.. it just didn't look right. The air duct hole things on the side are way too sharp and it makes the doors look pretty silly being that shape. Like there is a shelf or something wierd. The car just looked small and even more S2000 than in the photos. The headlights are the only even decent looking part. The car doesn't look mean any more. Honestly, the SRT looked like an S2000 with a really poor bodykit to me. The Vette looks better! (ARGH!) Saw a nice red GTS on the way out though

The GT40 was nice.. all engine

The Saleen S7 definitely is the best looking of the super low supercars.. Lamborghinis and stuff always look so silly on the road. I really enjoyed some of the concept cars. The Mighty F350 (Tonka) was also pretty cool. "Road presence".

I would definitely not ever buy a 03 Viper. It's cr@p.
