1. I was just curious to see what the largest front tire in terms of width people are running.
2. I am also interested in know what the widest tire the Viper will accommodate on the front. Currently I have Hoosier DOT R6 315/30's on the front with plenty of room and no rubbing. I didn't know if anyone else was doing anything similar?

For track you can run 335's up front on a Gen 2, you just can't turn all the way to the lock (which you never need to do on track, only in the paddock area to you have the limitation).

I certainly wouldn't run 335's on the street, but then again, I'm guessin' you're not streeting the R6s either.

Yes, I've run 335's on all for corners at the track and loved it...felt/look so awesome I wanted to keep the setup for the street lol

Can you run 335's on a 11 inch rim up front??????????????

I read on a vette forum where some guys have been able to use the 335/30's on 11 inch rims. The recommended rim size; however, is 12-13 inches.

If you run the 335 up front you will cut them. Everyone is correct if you go straight and track the car you should be ok, but, the first time you forget and try and park (at the track) or turn the wheel a little too far you will cut them. I have 315's and cut them pulling off the trailer. The cut is worrisome because now you will go back out on the track and you have a compromised tire.

Not that I am interested in trying this size; but, could one rig up some kind of stop or limit to the steering travel ?

I ran 315-35-17 Comp T/A R-1's on my '93 at the track. They really need to be on at least 11" rims. Wider than that, and depending on offset, they'll rub the swaybar at full lock. Even now, I run 315-18 square, or 315/335 at the track. Still roll on 275/335-17's for street.
