Length does matter. 20” or 40” mufflers?
For the Gen 1Vipers there doesn’t seem to be an after market muffler that flows more air with less restriction, and not be too much louder than stock with minimal drone and still sound half decent.
Does anyone know how the sound will change when going to a longer muffler with no other changes in the exhaust except having already dropped the Cats. I realize that it will be quieter but will there be less of a drone, will the pitch be slightly deeper, etc.
There is a company in town that will manufacture mufflers close to my specs. I have already dropped the Cats on my 94RT10 and I’m happy with the changes so far.
They will make the muffler 5” or 6” od, 2 ½” or 3” in and 3” out. Length can be up to 40” +- to run the full length of the sills if I wish.
These mufflers are similar in construction to the Flo Pro Baffle Pack
Does anyone have any theories or experiences?
