Driving down the road today, and I start hearing a rattle from the rear. I look back and the liftgate is an inch higher than it should be! I stop and take a look and the darn striker has separated from the glass (glue failure). I didn't think it would be too big a deal at first, until I look back and the damn liftgate is fully open!!!!
Drove real slow to the nearest hardware store and got some superglue for a short term fix to get the car home. Looks suspiciously like a little thread of superglue was already there. Anyone else have this problem?
Assuming I can get the striker off again (or perhaps more correct, when it falls off again), anyone have any glue recommendations? Looks like epoxy was the original glue.
It really stinks to drive a Viper for a few miles at 10 mph. You look like a real idiot.
