The bank where I got my loan from is located in Arizona, so apparently they aren't used to people storing their cars for the winter. Therefore comprehensive insurance is a no-go. Oh well, I get to drive mine year round when there isn't snow, salt, or sand. WOOHOO!

LOL about the chains! I actually argued with my bank about insurance coverate when I dropped to fire/theft coverage only during the winter months (even though I still owe a little on each car).

They tried to threaten to buy insurance and eventually with both banks I got to a loan officer who actually understood that it was to their benefit that I don't drive those cars for at least a few months and they gave me an exception because I have a daily driver that is fully insured and proved it.

Usually its a automated process to check the insurance, so eventually you'll always be referred to a supervisor who has the power to grant exceptions if you have good explanations and proof of another vehicle that will be used on "snow days".

Aaron
