I lowered my seats so my head with helmet would fit under a line from the windshield to the "sport bar." That was fine, but my elbow would hit the transmission tunnel and shifting was very awkward, especially bad because of the short shifter. What to do?

Turns out the transmission tunnel cover is raised! The cover even has molded-in feet with rubber tips screwed on! It is about 1.5 inches higher than it needs to be. So... got a razor blade, repeated cuts on the score lines and eventually I could work through the material and make a clean cut. There's a layer of the fake vinyl, a thin layer of foam, and a quarter inch of that foam/fiberglass material.

That exposes the transmission tunnel. I glued a piece of soft foam where my elbow would hit. Then I found some clip-on edging (think of weather strip without the water sealing rubber tube) and black vinyl. I clipped the edging and pinched the vinyl in place.

Sorry for the poor pix, it was dark and late, but I was happy.
