Maryland Viper Owners - Where Are You? I have posted here a couple of times and gotten no response. I'm looking to meet some other Viper owners in my area (Baltimore County area.) I have had Vipers in Florida and New Jersey. It was very easy to make contact with other owners then. I just can't seem to find you around here. I know you are around. The last time I put in for an oil change there was a black Gen III vert w/ polished 10 spokes and mirrored windows at the dealership. I saw a red Gen I on greenspring last week, i've seen a few red Gen III's in various areas around here. I've seen white w/ blue stripes Gen I's, yellow w/ black stripes Gen III's.... plenty of Vipers for a small area. So where are you? I even went so far as to drop a note in the front seat of a Copperhead Edition, license plate "RASK", that was parked in a parking lot. Why are you Maryland Viper owners so quiet? Call me.

They are a very active region, really! I used to live up there (now in FL) and they had stuff going on a lot. Check out their regional web site and I am sure you'll get some replies.

Looks like the problem is that you let your VCA membership lapse. We have an event about every other weekend and have about 150 members. Our schedule is on our website www.vamdviperclub.org and we remind all members by email and snail mail about a week before each event. The event is also posted in the events forum and in our VCA regional forum here. If you wish to rejoin VCA just call 800.998.1110 with your credit card and VIN in hand. PM me when you do and I will get you on our list. If you wish to join us on June 9th at the crab feast feel welcome, it will just cost you a bit more as a non member. PM me if interested and I will fix you up. We have reservations for about 70 cars and 130 people at this point. This IS a reservation only event as we have to let the establishment know how many ***** to prepare. Other regions are welcome too.

I have not been a VCA member for some time now. I was told, by Bill Pemberton @ Woodhouse, that with my recent purchase of a new '06 from Woodhouse that I would be registered for one free year of membership and I would recieve a one year subscription to the Viper magazine. It has been almost 2 months since the purchase and I have not heard from either. I have tried to call but all I ever get is an answering machine. I have left my name and number a couple of times already. Do you have any suggestions? Feel free to call me. My cell phone number is (443) 829-9320 Thanks!

As I mentioned via pm, don't forget to send me your VIN, we should be able to fix you up on Monday with the membership. We will be going to Carlisle in force with the PA/WV club and VCA erects a big tent and serves lunch. There should be a BUNCH of Vipers there. We are always in contention for the prize awarded for the Mopar model that is best represented by a count of cars. We are allowed right on the show field as a group and are usually placed right in the middle of the action.

Do they pro-rate it for the remainder of the year?
Unfortunately, no. New members get a prorated rate depending on the quarter, however the renewal memberships are a flat $100 a year. I believe the purpose was to avoid people waiting during the "slow" months (winter) and then renewing when they took their cars out of the garage in the spring - California & Florida excepted of course. ;) The idea is that everybody renews during the same basic time period (winter) which then allows the staff to focus the summer months on actual Viper events, etc.

Hope that makes sense, and thanks for renewing!
