The Borla (and Corsa) 3" cat back systems have a 2.5" ID reducer on the forward end, so that it slips onto the stock cat outlet. The stock exhaust pipe from the manifold to the cat is 2.5" OD.
For a direct fit high flow cat, get a 2.5" ID inlet / outlet one.

The ones we have are shorter than stock and we offer the service of welding on the correct length of stainless steel tube on each end, with the forward end swelled to 2.5" ID (4 cuts in that end to compress well with a clamp).
You'll have to cut the stock pipe just forward of where it's welded to the cat. The replacement cat can be a slip in and clamp.
