The race today, at 1:05 PST, will have Ohio's Mike McCann starting in the 6th spot and this will be the first time any Comp Coupe has begun ahead of Tommy Archer in the past two years. Kudos go to the McCann Plastics, Whelen Engineering, VCA Member, Gray Fox racing team for posting a 1:41.372 in the late morning qualifying round. Tommy Archer followed in 9th , as the second fastest Snake on the Sear Point track ( hard to call it Infineon for us old farts ) with Woodhouse tagging along for the bronze Viper time. Special props go to John Dearing, who ran a super time in his GTS , against the Comp Coupes , and he will start in the 22nd position. Todays race will be seen on Speed Channel tommorrow at 1:30 EST.
