Mobil 1 Super Syn...

After a long discussion of Mobil 1 at our usual coffee shop this am, I called Mobil Tech Line to get the "straight story" on Super Syn (which is an anti wear additive). This "evolution" of Mobil 1 IS our substitute for the factory fill which is called Mobil 1 Tri Synthetic (which they are no longer making). The gentleman told me to check the Exxon Mobil Chemicals website for more info, if needed. Sorry that I couldn't find the thread that someone started on this a couple of weeks ago.

Kinda went over my head. All I need to know is:

Is this stuff OK to use in the V10?

Yes, the Mobil 1 Super-Syn is OK for our Vipers...and will be the new factory fill for Vipers, according to the Mobil 1 Tech Line person. The Tri-Synthetic version will NO LONGER be produced per the same Tech Line source (something about newer emission regs on certain additives). Hope this helps clarify the issue at the "user level".. it did for me. I'm needing to restock my supplies.
