That's a good deal! It looks like you can buy the stuff in batches of 15 quarts and re-use the promo code to keep the per-quart cost down nice and low.

For another good deal, you can get M1 5W-40 Turbo Diesel Oil (the only stuff I use in everything now) form Amazon in two-gallon packs for about $45 - which works out to $5.63 a quart, with no shipping and no taxes. As I've demonstrated before, I'm a cheap basturd and that's not a bad deal at all. With taxes considered, it even beats the Wal-Mart price of $22 for the one-gallon jugs of this stuff.

Here's the link: Amazon.com: Mobil 1 44999 5w40 Turbo Diesel Truck - 1 gallon, Pack of 2: Automotive

This is the better deal

February 2010 Oil Specials - Advance Auto Parts

I got 10 quarts and 2 filters for about $60

Damn, that is a good deal. I just bought 15 quarts plus three filters for $83 with the $20 discount code. I'm going to go back in and buy another 15 + 3 and see if it will take... Adding that $20 discount really makes this a phenomenal deal.

WalMart is cheap but they are always out of the 0w40 stock. I complained to several store managers about this but their response was only that they have a different supplier than auto stores use and get limited deliveries.

I noticed that, too. They usually only have a couple quarts sitting on the shelves, and I picked both of them up recently to top off the new ACR. I figure I'll use this Advance Auto deal to do my first couple of oil changes with the OEM specified 0w/40 and then move to my usual 5w/40 Turbo Diesel oil. Really can't beat that price with a stick..

WOW - Great Deal! Thanks for pointing this out. I had to call Advance Auto customer service as it would not add the extra $20 discount - but after a 5 minute hold - got it applied so that I got 25 qts of oil and 5 M1 filters for $120 with free shipping directly to my house.

We ALL appreciate a deal on oil !!!

Since I go through a lot of it, I often utilized some of the promo deals mentioned.

However, as many began to wonder/worry about using the Mobil M1-204 filters sold in the combo deals, I sought a more specific and consistant source for the oil alone.

Here is the IN/KY VCA solution to scoring adequate supplies of the Mobil 1 0W-40 as sent to our members last week:

"I spoke with our FRIENDS at General Petroleum in Fort Wayne, Indiana last week. They will continue to sell our Club's Members Mobil 1   0W-40 motor oil at a sizable discount...noting that the CURRENT price is $22.05 per gallon...which is $5.51 per quart...NOT including sales tax (remembering that this oil costs from $6.26 to $7.99 per quart at retail outlets and $8.00 to $10.00 per quart at dealerships!!!).

IT SHOULD BE NOTED that on March 15, 2010 there will be a price increase in Mobil products...SO, STOCK UP NOW for your Spring oil change.
REMEMBER that we order through General Petroleum's Fort Wayne, IN headquarters ( 260-489-8504)...and then the oil can be picked up at EITHER the Fort Wayne location OR the Lebanon, IN location."

SUGGESTION: Seek out the Mobil distributor in YOUR area and see if you can strike a deal !!! :)
