What a load of BS on the Corvette forum- first I have attached the Dyno pull showing my third pull compared to a pull I did in February with one bad plug. Trackmasters will be posting the dyno graphs for both cars in the next week or so on their web site. My Feb. run is posted on that site.
I did screw up my order on the dyno - he ran his 05 Z-06 first, then I ran mine, then he ran his - but I am not sure where he got my numbers from - although my Feb numbers on 9 1/2 cylinders did have a 428 HP ad 460.8 torgue number.
And the Paxton was not a brag -its just a fact- the parts are in and are going on this week- no more than a brag when I had my C-5 supercharged-
I think the Z owner forgot that I was posting to the Viper site that appreciates when we mod our cars-
The reported numbers (by the owner of the Z-06) from my run were from my aborted run in 6th gear- every one clapped and had a laugh about me maxing out the speed of the dyno.
My third run was imediately after ******* out the dyno at 185+ with no cool down.
I wrote down the Z-06's number as they were called off by the owner of the Dyno- I grabbed a pen out of the nearest tool box so I would not get them wrong- you can see my notations on my sheet. PS his first pull was 440 HP I did not get the torque.
Also I plugged my lap top in for my FIRST run to data log- I did not alter my VEC-2 program- If I had wanted to I had two cards with me with more aggressive timing/fuel curves.
But it is true that I was running a slightly modified fuel curve in all three runs.
What kills me is the comment about the crowd picking his car over mine!
His car was black like mine, and there were several comments that the Z-06 looked a lot better than a regular c-6, but the two comments that stood out for me were "look at the orange peel" and "why does it have such a fat ass".
A few did not like the blacked out rims although I liked them.
The owner left shortly after he ran his Z, I hung aground for about another hour- had lots of great comments about my car although no one was comparing the two. My friend (who was there with his NSX- but did not dyno) told me that the crowd (20 to 25 at a guess) was talking about the dyno match up and there was much discussion about the mag. numbers and whose car would pull more on the dyno- but there was no crap about the Z-06 been a better car etc. As it was dark they never got to be seen next to each other which was a pitty.
Overall I think the crowd appreciated both cars - I did- but I crushed the Z in the torque war- the owner commented after my run that there was no way he could come lose to my torque number and I made a comment about displacement- guess he did not like it.
Still- despite screwing up my second run I matched HP and was way ahead on torque- and I have NO ORANGE PEEL
Somebody please cross post this to the corvette forum- I have forgotten my pass word-

PS kind of strange the response on corvette forum- I thought the Z owner was a nice guy, commented that he was looking at a Viper and grabed the Z when it came available- but he did not pay much attention to the numbers- must of taken offense at my 496 number- look at the chart!
And for the record the Dyno operator never made any grand proclamation about a winner- even though with 496 (rounded) ft/lbs of torque I think it was pretty clear on that day.
