Went for a sprited ride with some of my North Houston friends this evening. It finally cooled down and lost some humidity around here a little. Got on her hard some and she ran like a top tonight. Hard to believe she's almost 14.

I admit she's been neglected some lately with the ACR running better in the heat. Every time I think I need to let the GTS go and get something else I have a drive like this! :D

Don't ever let your GTS go. I had not driven my GEN II since VOI X and this year I was finally able to drive her again and she still puts a smile on my face every time I get behind the wheel. Reminds me why I fell in love with the Viper. Rude, crude, and in your face. :)

Hard to do that when she's faster in a straight line than the ACR. My Roe has 650 lb/ft of torque and 610 hp at the wheels.:rolaugh:

Not to mention the unbelievable amount of upgrades I put into my GTS for stopping, handling, and safety. That's what makes it so hard to let her go. Anybody that's seen her understands. Anybody that's been for a ride agrees.

I can't make it down the street without my GTS being photographed. Try that in an SRT. Most people think they're just another Vette. Which I see 10 of every day even here in po-dunk redneck central.

Yeah, it has been cooler around here neighbor. :sun: :tx: :sun:

Steve and Andy,

We should get together and do a north side viper cruise sometime. I'd even meet up at the lake. Saturday night was some of the local Woodlands folks. A vette, lotus, 700 hp nasty 85 mustang. Good group of guys.

It IS cooler around DFW these days ... we had to put on the parka today when it dropped to the mid 90's. The heat hasn't kept MY GTS off the road ... just been watching the gauges and hauling it.:D

You guys up north of the Mason-Dixon don't understand what it's like to get into the car and not be able to touch the wheel... and that's with it in the SHADE!

Living in Jawga, I can somewhat relate. I was talking to someone a couple weeks ago and mentioned how the northerners don't like the winter b/c they can't drive their Vipers. Come to the south and we almost have to hibernate due to the heat!
