After a 3 hour flight down to Florida in the trusty cessna 172, I met the guy with my new car. The green is absolutely beautiful in the sun!!!! Much better than any pictures make it out to be. Then, I headed back home to TN. The 8 hour drive was very pleasant. I was a little dissapointed at first. I stopped at my first gas stop and the first two people to talk to me about the car both came up and said "is that a corvette?" ***!!!! Everyone else after that was just in awe at the car. I got back around 3am wed morning. I had class starting at 8am. The students reactions were mostly in awe. A few bad apples acting like it was no big deal.. oh well. Today was even warming and I've been running all over with it. The car is even badder than I imagined. I could charge for rides and buy another one! I NEED a louder exhaust though. hi flow cats I think. Thanks to everyone on the board here who has helped me along the way. Here is a picture I took. I wish the green would show up the way it looks in real life.

You want LOUD? I think that JonB. has just what you want. Let me know if you want me to e-mail you a sound file.

Making it sound (and breathe) better on a budget is easy - get K&N filters and smooth tubes, and replace the mufflers. I used glass packs about 5 years and 25k miles ago (at JonB's suggestion) and they still sound great. I will upgrade to a full headers/exhaust sometime in the near future, but I have never regretted making the changes to my sidepipe 94.
I love the green, also! My second favorite color for Gen I RT's!
Congratulations!

Hey USAF, nice ride!!! enjoy, I see you commented on my GTS hunting up north, thanks for the input!

here's a question for the vertern GENI guys, can the mufflers be removed at low cost and replaced with a straight pipe(s) as in a GENII, for a quick $100 sound and horsepower fix???

just wondering......

Never tried it but judging by what I have installed now, I imagine that straight pipes on the sidepiped car would be painfully loud.

You'll have to get used to your Viper getting a lot of attention - from young and old. I usually invite people to sit in the car since it's almost always the only one they've seen in person. I just ask them not to drool on it!!

Enjoy!

The picture looks fine to me! I've always held a fondness for dark green and I've only come across one Viper in that color, thus you have a rare breed in a rare color.

Congratulations and I know you'll enjoy.

By now you have learned a couple of Viper maxims:

"You can't be an introvert and own a Viper."

"Any car parked next to a Viper becomes invisible."

Congrats on your new toy!
