twelve questions; twelve ansewrs, this is gonna cost you, LOL. ill try to answer each one in order you placed em.
1. no idea, use side mirros, rearview is a crutch, dont reply upon it.
2. skip barber driving school, or just plain ol road time and several tanks of gas. oh and theres never enough power, even a viper needs mods.
3. no idea, and i agree, the pedal set-up simply *****
4. ahh, a fellow stereo enthusiast. Ive an RT10 1999 here what i did; 6.5 JL components in doors, slight port mods w/factory grills fitting flush, dynomatted doors, Panasonic DVD/CD player head unit, 6.5 JL 6W0 sub between seats with custom fiberglass dampened enclosure, again factory grill right back in place, 8 CD changer, JL 300x4 amp, and xovers all mounted aesthetically and tastefully in trunk.
5. as a post westcoast resident, yep, its the attitude out there
6. never noticed this problem.
7. never worry, thats what insurance is for, dont allow some d*ckhead to be your buzzkill
8. practice practice practice (and some touch up bodywork, LOL)
9. ?
10. many mods, this site got em all
11. wow, a rareity indeed.
12. front plates are required here in ohio as well, but forget it, ill take a ticket before i mount an ugly *ss front plate (no offense to those who have em). the way i see it, if a front plate were truly substantiated as a neccessity, all states would require them, so its obviously a revenue scam for your local and friendly PD and state PD

About the license plate...I live in Long Island, NY. Purcashed a '98 viper this month and no front plate..anyone in the area have a lot of problems with the cops? I figure I'll cross that bridge when I come to it but I was just wondering what others have experienced.

A few more answers:

3. Sean Roe has a link which fixes the clutch pedal misalignment and includes instructions about adjustment of the loud pedal. Both are easily done and the cost is about $25 or so.

10. Handling may have been affected by the age and type tires. The Michelin Pilots are an improvement over the original equipment Michelins used in 93. I have also seen reports that they harden with age. (If your friend still has the original tires he might want to look at the Kuhmo tires also)
