I got a quote from my current insurance provider, Mercury and then I checked Nationwide. Nationwide was $1000 less each six months. I've seen them mentioned on the board. Any opinions?

I switched to Nationwide about two years ago, and saved a TON of money. At the time, I spent almost a full day getting quotes from virtually any company I could locate. Nationwide was not only the best price, at least in my "rating area", but a neighborhood agent was MORE than helpful. I've not had a claim myself, but I don't recall ever hearing about any horror stories with them. They now have my house insurance, and saved me several hundred dollars on that too. A point to note..... there is nothing I could find in the text of MY written policy regarding the prohibition of track events or driving schools, AND no language against "timed events" either. According to every bit of fine print I was able to find, I think they would have to pay off.... at least once..... before I was dropped, even if I autographed a wall "big time" on a track somewhere. At this point, I'm a satisfied customer.
