Need help with a \'94 soft top

I recently FedEx'd my '94 soft top to eldiablo in Arizona. He emailed pictures to show that the passenger side strut had bowed downward and his door would not close with th window in.
Any suggestions as to how to correct the problem. The top fit OK on my car, so I'm assuming it was bent in transit. NO....I didn't insure it.

Is the material "bendable"?

Thanks......

Re: Need help with a \'94 soft top

Don,

I had a similar problem with mine. I removed the swing arm (probably a real name for it) put it on 2X4s with weight in the middle. I will bend it the other way and if you let it set for a while it will stay that way. To speed up the process I put a heat gun on it as well.

I'm sure there are more elegant solutions but it worked for me. The ultimate solution is to call Biff at V-mania for a hardtop.

Good luck,

Ken

Keep in mind that these tops aren't so great anyways. Mine always rattles and the tubes never seem to fit just right. I bought a hard top and put the soft top in storage. The hard top is a pain in the #*&$, but it is much more quiet and less headache than the soft top.
