Hi Guys,

Just got my 1997 GTS, which is the car I always wanted. My friend was the original owner and I bought it from him with 4400 miles on it. I want to put new tires on it and was wondering where would be the best place to have them mounted in Central New Jersey. Been reading this site for some time, wealth of information for sure. Hope to see some of you at the local gatherings.

Turbo Z1R, I see you are a Mike G. Same here! I've heard great things about Scott Sorrentino as well, you always have Chuck Tator as an option too, a little farther away but where I go for anything Viper related.

Separately, I'm not sure where you are located but we have a cars and coffee in Northern NJ usually every other Saturday at the Parsippany Hilton, on Route 10 in Parsippany. We've had a few Vipers there over the past couple months and there is always a good turnout of the various exotic car brands. 8:30am to 11:30am.

Hi Mike,

I went to the last C&C at the Hilton but no one was there. It was on the correct date, but no turn out. I am in the Bridgewater/Somerville area, and was up in the Blairstown area last weekend as I have a friend who is a Dodge Service manager who lives up there. Wanted to show him the new car so went to Hilton first then Blairstown from there. Hope to meet you sometime this summer.

Yes, it seems like they keep moving the location and updates are only posted to a yahoo groups page which I'm on. I know the one this weekend is at the address I posted above, hopefully there is some consistancy in the future with the meeting spot.

Jersey is a big place!

Where are you located? Monmouth County?

You can give Darren Buhler at Buhler Dodge a call, and he may be able to do it at his shop, or possibly point you in the right direction.... and there's always Nick M at Modern Performance, in Oceanport. He has plenty of experience with Vipers as well.

Further North?

Hi Joe,

I live in Somerset County in the Bridgewater/Somerville area. I was wondering if most Dodge Dealerships have a machine that will mount Viper size tires or will they outsorce to a tire store even if you bring them the tires. I have found a performance shop in Somerville that has a machine big enough to mount the tires, and he does a lot of wide tires on race car rims. The only thing that worries me is he said if the tire ripped while mounting, it was on me and not him.

Thanks again for the replies.

EuroTire in Fairfield, NJ (Route 10 East). Has the proper equipment and never a scuff, scratch etc. to rims when mounting. He does a lot of PCA stuff and has also mounted tires for my Viper. Was mounting a set of GT3 rears when I was there last. Those aren't skinny!
