Need some questions answered re: rim

Anybody out there that knows a good wheel place that can repair my scratches from a curb on my rim! Some of the scratches are kind of deep. I don't know if they can even be repaired. Any suggestions? Or I was thinking about just buying a new wheel. Any body have a wheel for sale? I have a 2000 GTS. It's a rear wheel. H E L P !

I got a spare front and a spare rear wheel off ebay...be patient...they show up from time to time...then when the inevitable curb rash occurs, I simply swap out the rim and ship it to Wheel Technologies in Dallas...but you can search the net to find a local wheel refinishing company...they can be repaired and with a good wheel refinishing company, you will not even be able to tell...

I repaired mine at Wheels America . They did an excellent job. You can not tell the difference from a new rim. I have heard some negative feedback about them from other Viper owners but I have no complaints at all. They were fast coureous and did an excellent job.

If you want a new or used rim, you can try ebay. Don't know if this one is in better shape than yours ( Ebay )?

Likewise, I used Wheels Anerica for a 3-piece aluminum wheel off my Lambo. The wheel was bent and had three gouges in it where the guy I bought it from had done a curb job. Wheels America had it 1 week and when I got it back, it looked brand new. I think they charged me $150.00. I was satisfied with their work..

Mike,
The wheels come from the factory with the clear coat. What the clear coat does is protect the high shine. Otherwise, you would be polishing them once a week to retain that high shine.
