Hey Guys,

I need to get ready for whenever I hit my next track event, be it in one week, or in 1 month. And I wanted to see where I can get a few things and I have a few questions.

1. Roll Bar, who has them, which ones are the best, and how easy are they to install? (also what incoviences do they cause for a daily driver viper?
2. Where is the best place to get a Hanse neck/head restraint device (or whatever its called). I know its expensive, but if it saves my life, no expense could compare.
3. I need to get some Brakeman 3's all around for an 02 viper, or pfc01's up front and brakeman 3's for the rears, who sells them, besides from the vendor who spells his name the same as me.
4. Will the really good looking CCW rims (5 spoke) work on track? I know they are 19's so it might make sense to run my ACR's as track rims, and the ccw's as street rims. Who can get me a good price on these?
5. Oh, probably need to get some more motul, or Ap600 or SRF. Is there a one stop shop I can get all of the above from?

Thanks for the help.

Roe Racing, Archer Racing, PartsRack are going to be good sources for you. Check out the forum supporters. Call ViperDays too.
Regarding the rims, I wouldn't run the ACR's as track, they are worth A LOT of cash on the open market in nice condition. Search and search for posts on rims and tons come up for sale for cheap all the time.

Yeah, thanks for the reminder on Archer (except they always charge LIST + viper tax) which i hate. Roe seems to sell at list price. And well I guess I wasnt clear enough, I wont buy from the guy with my same name, good price is important, but respect for the customer is more important 2 me.

Here's where you need to go to buy a HANS Device (Head and Neck Support) http://hansdevice.com/

I was an early purchaser. It saved me from some neck injuries in a crash at Mosport several years ago.

Saw Jim Downing, the co-inventor, at Roebling Road this spring. He was driving in a vintage reunion race and smoked everybody. The guy's still got the touch.

I installed the Autoform Roll Bar by myself. Fairly easy, would have only taken a few hours but I was installing harnesses at the same time. Read the Team Tech install in the "How To - Illustrated Upgrades" by Henri & Janni Cone. It is helpful for the roll bar, how to remove seatbelts, etc., and gives an idea of what everything looks like with the interior trim removed.

The Autoform fits perfect, does not interfere with anything (manual door locks) and I did not have to change my stock seat position at 6.1' tall. And it comes with a new, molded center console piece so you do not have to hack your original one to pieces.
Got mine through Jon B. at partsrack.com. You might want to call Bobby Archer Motorsports or Archer Racing accessories. They also have the brake pads and Motul RBF, braided lines, anti-toe brackets, etc. They are also major sponsors of this site and Viper Days.
Good Luck, let us know how it goes.

Thx FlyBryViper

I'll talk to Autoform directly. Having an ACR, I already have the 5 points installed. But I'm sure you were talking about the process of just getting everythign out. So I'l take a look. Janni and Henry live in the same area as me, and Henry and I work for the same company, so I might bend their ear on any questions I may have on that process.

Thanks again for the info. Glad to see autoform has the manual door release issue resolved.
