Man, I can understand your level of frustration! Car is not broken in yet, couple of your Vettes could probably have kicked his a$$. I have a Vette in addition to the Viper. Be aware break in on the Viper is very critical, not like a Vette. First 200 miles, keep it below 2000rpm, 300 miles 3000 rpm, 400 mile 4000 rpm and so on. CHANGE THE OIL AT 200-300 miles. DO NOT REDLINE THE CAR TILL 1000 miles. Or don't do it more than ONCE, because it was IMPOSSIBLE not to nail those idiots LOL. Change the oil again at 1000 or so miles. I'm sure you did not hurt it with one burst, but follow these guidelines for a well performing, trouble free, redline the heck out of it, take it to the track, trouble free, non oil burning existence. Kick everyones butt for the next 7 years. You did get the extended warranty, right? If not, and you are keeping the car it is a great investment. Get a quote fom your dealer, probably won't be great as you already bought the car, make sure you also get a quote from Woodhouse Dodge, icon at the top of the page, Bill Pemberton is our fellow owner/racer and consummate comedian at that location, althouth I know he is gone till the 13th. Congratualtions on buying the car experience of your life! You are gonna' feel like a rock star after a couple of weeks!
