I just got a call from my dealer telling me the accumulator thingy for the air conditioner just came in and could I bring the car in to the service dept. I thought the reason there was such a long delay in shipping the coupes was so that they could fix this before they left the factory. Now I need to wait for a decent weather day to take it in and entertain myself for 2 to 3 hours while they fix it. How many others of you are dealing with the same issue? Why would they ship them out with a known defect and then make the customer go through the hassle of returning it for a fix? Come on DC, give us a break!!

P.S. I still love the car! :2tu:

Iam very glad you finally got that snake.....sweet asp, isnt she????

But, yeah mine came in on a Thursday, did the paper work and paid for it Friday, at which time I got the BTW, the A/C part will be here on Monday,do you want to leave it or bring it back??? ***,thought that was done at CAAP?? they gave me a coupon for a full detail at a high end shop, and 4 gas cards for the trouble,(equal to 4 tanks of gas)...brought me back to the dealership on Monday via a lemo....now, that is service.....love these guys...

PS,I love this new coupe so much, :) that I have to wear a ****** when driving, because oh yeah it is sex to me..... so the smile on my face is for two reasons I quess.. :p

Enjoy BOB K, these are great times we live in Bro..... :2tu:

To me it's a matter of perspective.

My car also is one of the ones shipped with the A/C glitch.

I think the question one seriously has to ask one's self is "would you rather have the car in your hot little hands knowing that the A/C needs to be fixed or would you rather wait days or weeks for the parts to come in and be installed prior to shipment?"

In my case, I had the pleasure of driving the car for almost a month before storing it for the winter. I can wait until spring to get the A/C fixed and I sure didn't need to use it on any days after October 13th. I'm glad that DC made the decision to release my car when they did! No beef here!

You're a northerner, too, Bob. Consider just "chillin", enjoy the car while you're weather holds out and get it fixed in the spring.

Just my .02 :D

Buncha whiners. I wish I had one in the garage with a missing AC part. Those Blue/Whites are BEAUTIFUL!! My compliments to you gentleman. Hey BlueSnake, what are the chances of you coming to the VA/MD Christmas Party. I have a dealer willing to put his new Red Coupe on display at the event, but a Blue/White would be even better! Heck, I would put them side by side on either side of the front door of the hotel!

Rick,
I thought my dealer was great but "4 gas cards and a lemo" (what the hell is a lemo?). I think I will make a copy of your post and send it to my dealer (minus the ****** reference - I don't want them to think I hang out with you)!

This one came already fixed. They delivered it to the local dealer last night and had a note on it that AC had been repaired.

BOB K, sorry meant to type "LIMO", and BTW if you hung out with me you would certainly have "MOXY".
After spending $91K plus, someone needs to do some asp kissing, they did offer to bring it home to me, but, I would not allow some one else to street my car with only 5 miles on it...the owner of Tysinger Dodge also owns the Mercedes Benz dealership next door,so the LIMO was no big deal, they keep one at the dealership, the gas cards were compliments of the salesman and the business manager...

PICTUREMAN, there is a FE Coupe in your post? I must need glasses all I see is a knock out lady...

LEE, Me, the Wife and the Coupe are up for the Christmas party, as long as the weather holds out that is....

So they can get paid for the car sooner and let you waste your time getting the car fixed. American manufactures did that for years and some still do I guess.
