In Canada GM and the Unions have just concluded an agreement.
The agreement is very simple they reduced the marginal benefits of the workers by 15% and freeze wages until 2012. And that's it ... Basically the purpose of the agreement was to show the government that they all agree on something. GM is fishing for government money ! The only problem is that GM has 10000 workers in Canada for 55000 retired employees ! The retired didn't concede anything.
If the government provides money to GM is will be very unfair to other manufacturers. GM should be trashed as soon as possible. They are just not financially viable.
