new gts or not???

I was looking at the latest Dupont Registry book and saw a statement above a reputable dealer that said get the last GTS (2002) until 2006. Are they going to build a new GTS in 2006 or 2007? Sure hope they do cause I will be inline for one. Hope they make a yellow one!!!

I heard they were'nt but I sure hope they do.. Any info fellas?

Last I heard on this site:

1) No GTS for at least 3-4 years.

2) No engineering work being done on GTS yet (few months ago.)

3) D-C makes comment that converting Comp Coupe will be fairly easy when they decide to make GTS... maybe 1-2 years.

My opinion is 3), the GTS is already half done with the Comp Coupe.

Frankly, if you are going to market both cars, probably the best strategy is to release the 1st one, say the 2nd one will not be available for many years, thereby "forcing" people who want the GTS to buy an RT. Then, as soon as those purchaces are forced. Introduce the GTS. Then those who compromised buy the 2nd one too!

Of course with the economy, all bets are off. If sales are bad, there may never be a GTS.
