guys i have a 99 model gts in the uk.i keep finding a trace of fluid behind the front number plate on the grille openning you put your hand through to release the hood. i am convinced it is coolant it tastes horrible but seems to be water based,i can not find any trace of a leak if you wipe it dry and go for a short drive like grannys in the car it will re appear any ideas? is it possible to source the front drivers seat foam as it has collasped where you get in over the sill? thanks for your help broncoupe

Tough one. There is Ac condensor, oil cooler and radiator. My recommendation is to wipe it with a white towel/cloth to at least see the color. If you have green antifreeze it should appear greenish, etc. Another idea is to really clean (degrease) the 3 above mentioned items and then really inspect which one looks "wet" after they are very dry.

Sounds like it could be coming from the radiator recovery bottle which sits behind the front bumper. It may just be overfilled. Turn your front wheels all the way to the left. Look in the right front wheel well. There's a round plug in the front of the wheel well. Remove the plug and you can check the bottle level with a flashlight.

Even though I have never tasted coolant, I have read that it is sweet, which is why dogs will drink it and die.

Old mechanics trick is to use talcum powder on the engine to see where the leak is coming from. Good Luck.

first off, DONT EVER TASTE IT IF YOU THINK ITS ANTIFREEZE. It can be toxic, probablt coming from the overflow bottle.
