OK, ViperDays is coming to the northeast. This is a great opportunity to drive one of the most famous tracks in history, all in a safe and fun environment. Its been a while since the Northeast held an event - we have at least 4 folks coming from NORTH CAROLINA - with more trying to get there...

I know you guys and ladies in the northeast will come out en masse - so who's coming? Snake Pit Racing? The New England VCA? Vipermad - you've got those 5 points - let put'em to good use! Laura - you have 2 now - if one is gonna be a track car what a great track to start at! All you drag racers - come see what its like to use the steering wheel! Andrew 2K- let's bring that grey beast to Watkins Glen. All you Western New Yorkers hop in your car and head to the Finger Lakes! Joe Houss - bring the NJ Boyz and let's see what they got! After the NE Dyno day - let's call Alan's smack and see what they can do on the track. Alan - only valid excuse is no motor....

This is going to be a great event - the race group will not be there due to the conflict with Sebring - so this means EVEN MORE track time for us Michelin Challenge drivers. Great instruction, great track, great organization - if you've done other track days come out and see how it ought to be done - ViperDays runs ON SCHEDULE and you will get all your track time. Space is limited and time is running short.

Jani, Snake Pit Racing will not be there because of the conflict with Sebring but some of will fly directly to the Glen to help instruct on the track.
Have a great time watkins glen is a great track & as you siad you will have great deal of track time since race group will not be there

Looks as if I will be at The Glen. I am not going to be at Sebring. My points race are way to close to miss out on the Glen and the opportunity to run with Sonny Wheelen. Let's just keep our fingers crossed that the car will be running by then. I agree all of you east coast boys and girls this is the track to come to. Alan you know Chris Adams is going to be very dissapointed that you will not be there and Bill Pemberton. Alan you still have three weeks, stick a Neon Motor in there or better yet run on limited number of cylinders and that way you can still give Chris and the boys a run for there money. Cause I hear it's all about the driver not the horses under the hood.

Steve, I live near Oshawa. There is a small border crossing accross the st.lawrence from Kingston. Really small town with just a toll both for customs. You have to take 2 ferry's but it would be a really short wait. You drive right off the ferry through customs.

Up just north of Massena NY there is a boarder crossing that looks like an old gas station. The road actually runs by it with only room for one car at a time to enter the semi circular drive.

The first time I went by it I didn't even know it was a boarder crossing. Next thing I know I am back in the US.

Viper Days would love to see everyone attend the Watkins Glen event. We do,however, understand the present circumstances with the horrific act of terrorism that many are unable to attend. Our thought and prayers go out to all affected by this mind- boggling act.

I hope everyone who reads this and is within range will heed Janni's call to come to ViperDays at Watkin's Glen. This will be my first time there, and I can't wait to see the track.

For anyone who hasn't driven on a road course before, ViperDays is an extremely friendly and instructive group. You will be carefully introduced to the elements of car handling and be very surprised as to how well your stock viper performs right out of the box on street tires. And it's pretty easy to learn with Tammy Robertson's fine group of instructors helping you through the course.

I'm sorry to hear that you have a motor problem Alan - I hope you can at least make it to the Finals in Tulsa. I am excited to hear that Bernie is going to show up and let me try to catch him at the Glen. We always seem to bring out the best in each other. I wish Rob Williams could come too.

I will be there!!!! I can not wait, I am practicing with my NASCAR 4 software and I will be ready !!!! I am ready for the White Group, moving up again.

Guys/girls for those of you who keep thinking about coming and have not....this will be my third event, VIR, Putnam and now The Glen. Do not delay this is a lot of fun. I have made so many new friends, I have learned so much about my car, my driving skills have increased immensely. Skip gives great classroom education he will help prepare you before you are ready to hit the track. Viper Days also provides skilled instructors so you are not on the track by yourself until you are ready. They will show you how the track should be run, these guys/girls will become some of you closest friends.

For a guy who was thrown to the wolves, The Unlimited Group, because of all my selfish modifications I have had a great time. Remember you are on the track with people (men and women) of your own capabilities, the point scoring is done by class of car on paper, not actual racing, so you will feel comfortable while on the track as you are learning. The way it works - you are trying to get your fastest lap with all the other people (similar driving skills) on the track, it can make it quiet a challenge at times working through the cars. Bottom line is you are in a group on the track that is dependent upon driver skills not car modifications. You can go as fast as YOU feel comfortable.

The reason I take the time to write this note is because I did not understand the Viper Days event and that is probably what has kept me from coming sooner. For all you guys/girls who have been wanting to put your Viper to the floor and see what it can do and want a very safe environment Viper Days is your ticket!!

PS When they have a "Test and Tune Day" and Courtney says Advanced Drivers they really mean it. I made this mistake at VIR, it was not a lot of fun but I did learn a lot in very short period of time, mostly how to get out of the way. I encourage you to come to Test and Tune Day, watch our more advanced drivers, maybe get one of them to take you for a ride, I have never had anyone turn me down when I have asked them for help at Viper Days. More importantly get your car through Tech Inspection so you will be ready to go first thing and not waste a run session because your car is not safe.

PSS There is nothing like blowing by a Vette, Porsche, BMW, .... and you will get your chance. There is nothing like raw Viper Horse Power!!!!!!!

Skip, Courtney, Traci and the rest of the Viper Days Team will take excellent care of you and they will constantly checking with you to make sure you are having a GREAT TIME, which is what it is all about!!!!!!

My Prayers and heart go out to all those families that have lost and given so much......

Sam - I'm glad to hear that you're coming to the Glen - it was nice to have you as my "neighbor" at Putnam Park. We're going to get a ton of seat time since the race group will be at Sebring for the support race. I just turned on one of the Fox channels and they were showing a Grand Am race at the Glen. It looked great - but we get to use "the boot" and drive the whole track! I'll see you there.

Thanks for the note just being next to Ted, you and the guys makes US a better/faster Team. I can not wait I am glad you told me we are going to run the boot, I will work harder on my practice with the NASCAR 4 software. Find someone who has it and give it a try, they say it is as close as you will get with out being in the car on the track. At least I know where all the curves and apexs are.....
