Just checked with my iPod specialists on the ability to attach an iPod adapter box to the factory 2008 Viper, non-Nav radio and he said:

1. He checked with the makers of the iPod adaptors for an adaptor for the 2008 Viper OEM radio (Rah).

2. This radio uses an old, outmoded protocol.

3. There are no plans to make an iPod adaptor.

:((

If anyone gets any other ideas (no FM radio connectors please), please let me know!

Why wouldn't 82209616AC - Mopar Integration Kit work?

It lists that it works with RAH radio.

I use it with my stock RBQ radio which is not the Nav system and it works great.

You can browse your artists, playlists, and albums with the stereo buttons as well as turn shuffle mode on/off. It also displays the name of the song that is playing, that is the first 10 digits or so that is.

I have come to the concluson that Dodge knows NOTHING about the ipod adapters or the radios in General. They STILL to this day claim that the RB1- wont work in 03-06 cars, and that an iPod kit for Vipers doesnt exist... at all!

Here you go:

Dodge Call Center...

[Their Ass] :dunno: [Hole In Ground]

Thanks for the link! I sent them an email.

However, the designation on the front of the 2008 non-nav OEM Viper radio is "RAH" which differs from the descriptions on the websit you mentioned.

Hopefully they will come up with a solution. Otherwise it is all coming out!

Who did you send an e-mail to...?

I have to update the website, I wrote it before the RAH was available in the Viper. Gen-3 was always RBQ, and RB1. Now, its RAH and RB1. The RAH is however listed in the iPod manual, and always has been.

Dan...any news on my similiar problem with the ipod kit? CT has tried two brand new ipod adapters on the RB1 in my 08 and neither have worked. He said he had spoken to you about it while you where up north. I picked my new Viper up with the ipod adapter still in the car but disconnected.

There appears to be a bad batch of them floating around, nothing more. Pretty much every one purchased from Dodge right now is suspect. This same thing happened a couple years ago for a short time.
