no second gear?

I have a 20o4 viper no movement in second gear and noise in the other 5 gears? Rebuild? junk? fixable? I think im gonna drop it myself? any recomendations on any of these thanks

Hey Chuck,
What do you charge for rebuild? I've got a '98 with 36k miles. Clunky 2-3 shift. 1tony1 put a Gen3 in it yesterday and I really like it. Can't decide to rebuild mine or get a new one?? PM me if you want. Thanks

Depends on what went wrong and parts that are needed? Rebuilding here could cost, $600-$1800?

I certainly dont mean to question the Wizard but if you trans is anything like mine was a year or so back, you'll be replacing rather than rebuilding.

Like Chuck said you wont know till you get it torn apart. Mine had many gears fused to the input shaft and syncros gone... complete overhaul would have cost more than double the great hook up deal I got on an 05 trans from Woodhouse.

Seach around. You will be surprised what is out there. Start with the vendors here on the VCA!

Mine doesn't seem all that bad. But don't want to get stranded on the drive to Utah. I've checked with a few vendors already and would rather buy NOS if available for a little more than a rebuild. Thanks for suggestions.
