Seems to be a fairly common area for leakage. Don't know about GENI, but on GENII's the oil pan gasket has extra sealing material in that area to help seal that seam. In addition, it has been recommended to add a bit of silicone sealant after throughly cleaning the sealing area of the block.

Don't know if the updated GENII oil pan gasket will fit (I suspect not), but if it does it should fix the problem.

I just got my '98 GT2 back after having it worked on for an oil leak-

according to the Viper tech, there were actually two sources of leaks- the rear main seal, and also leaking from the bolts into the oil pan. He put sealant in the threads of the bolts.

I plan to upgrade to the 2000 pan. Does anyone know if the 2000 pan has been altered to fix this problem of leaking from the bolts????
