To paraphrase Crocodile Dundee: "You call THAT a Leak?"

Having owned 6 British cars, I can say I KNOW real leaks!

Most of the 'complaints' here that I have dealt with or seen are what would be considered normal wear and tear on most motors and trans. A few drips here, a few drops there. But it drives Viper Owners CRAZY! And, they have that extended warranty to cover them. So, they get discussed, fretted over, and repaired.

However, I don't think the frequency is unusual. And if the owners were out-of-pocket, I doubt that many would be fixed.

Jon B - you are referring to the gasket leaks, yes? you mean that the leaks that the gen 1's experience usually won't cause a real problem? I thought they were a big problem, especially if the coolant gets in the wrong places..........?

97 GTS.....36K miles and no leaks. Not one drop of oil consumption over 3K mile change interval. The car is not raced either, but pushed at times on the highway.
