I will be purchasing a set of pilot sports for my new wheels. And I have seen numerous Pilot Sports out there. So which is which?

Pilot Sport A/S ----I think this is all-season( which is NOT good for traction? Correct?)

Pilot Sport C1 ----Is this the Sport Cup tire? Means good for traction? And good for 180+mph?

Pilot Sport_____?????? What is the Max Performance Pilot Sport called?

Thanks for any help!!

[*]Pilot Sport Cup ------ DOT-approved racing tire. No treadwear rating
[*]Pilot Sport -- Best way to go for street use. The C1 sidewall label (indicates it is the oem Viper replacement tire) is only on 18", not 17" sizes.
[*]Pilot Sport PS2 -- The NEW tire from Michelin. "The Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 significantly outperforms not only its predecessor, but all other Michelin high-performance summer tires as well, both in wet and dry conditions." BUT it's not made in your Viper Sizes and Michelin has no plans to do so.

Since the 345's and 285's offer rim protection, that brings up a dilemma, what size to get?

Pilot Cups have 345/30/18 and 285/30/18
Pilot c1's have 345/35/18 and 285/35/18 and 285/30/18

I don't believe you can get your hands on a 345/35-18 Pilot but if you find some, PLEASE post.

Thanks,

Chad
