Orlando Speedworld Drag results

Some of us Central Florida Viper's rented the track today in Orlando. Jason who organized the day went an impressive 11.53 in a basically stock 97 GTS with skinnes and slicks. Tom from BTR made two 9 second passes. I was able to squeeze out an 11.15, we all did well for an 85 degree day. There was a nitrous Mustang Gt running 12.20s, an 03 Cobra running 11.8s, a few stock Vettes running high 12s and low 13s and a four door VW running 13.80s. Hopefully next time we can get a few more Vipers out there. $200 bucks a car is a lot, but when you consider how much tunning and practice you get in it is well worth it.

$200! Damn! I'm sure it was well worth it as you had the track all to yourselves, and to hang out with the Viper Gang!
But in Good Old Indiana, I can get on the strip for $20 with maybe 15-20 cars running! And I can just go round and round!! Somehow I don't think Orlando is quite the same as Morocco, IN though!
Sounds like it was a blast and some good times too!

Maybe I'll open an office in Indiana for the summers, so I can do the $20 racing with 20 other cars. usually Orlando speed world has 300 plus cars on Test and tune nights, so that translates into 1-3 runs for 4-5 hours wait time.

I want to thank everyone who came out. We had a blast. Definately could of used some sunscreen and bee spray .

I have to give some credit to John of CCW who twisted my arm to get the drag setup instead of just going with drag radials. I launched at 4000-5000rpm and it just goes.
My car ran flawless ALL day long. I am pleased with the 11.53. I can't wait to do some mods... headers/exhaust.

It was very cool to have the track to yourself to run all you want and take your time. The cars were all impressive. I could not believe my friend with a regular 2-valve Mustang GT and a 75 shot went 12.23. That was amazing.
The 03 Cobra squeeked out an 11.7? on his second to last run.
The Roe supercharger on the Viper was very cool.

I will rent the track again in January if anyone is interested. Just email me and I will touch base when it gets closer.
