Painting Stripes

Do you have to use two different types of paint for stripes? One for the body and the other for the elastomeric bumpers? Anyone know?

my understanding is they put some kind of flexing agent in the paint for the bumpers - just had mine done and the painter gave me the name of the stuff but the brain didn't retain it

It is the same paint. I also don't know what the flex agent is, but I bought the paint for the stripes I put on my last car.

<FONT face="Comic Sans MS">Don't know about the Viper, but on my 1970 Trans Am it called for flex agent in both the primer and the clear coat. Do one without the other and you'll get cracks, at least on a Pontiac...</FONT f>
